TEA TIME
"But
speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: ...... The
aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness,
not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things:
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their
husbands, to love their children, To be discreet , chaste, keepers at
home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not
blasphemed." Titus 2:1, 3-4
Hmm...this scripture seems to go against what a lot of Christian
women are being taught in the church today: that the word of God is
inerrant except in the scriptures concerning women...women should have
a career, be able to do all the things a man could do. While I
believe that women are able to do a lot of things that men can
do, that is not what God wants us to do...he made us different
because we have a different purpose in life than men. This
scripture says that this is sound doctrine: that we are to be Keepers
at Home, to be discreet, obedient to our own husbands... and ends
with:"that the Word of God be not blasphemed" . Sadly in these
times..the Word of God is being blasphemed, but if we believe that
God's Word is inerrant in all the scriptures, we need to start taking
him at his word at Come Home!
